The other day I stumbled upon a huge patch of Amanita muscaria, hidden in plain sight — they didn’t even look real. 🍄🌿🧚♀️✨🍁
I’ve only been on the Sunshine Coast for a month, and I’ve been keeping an eye out for them… and suddenly, there they were.
My connection with Amanita began about a year ago — an initiation that’s unfolded through teachers, synchronicities, and quiet moments of guidance. Finding them again now feels like the next chapter of that story.
Behind them stood a magnificent tree with twisted branches, full of character, like it was watching over them. Amanitas form deep partnerships with trees — sharing nutrients and communicating through the underground mycelium network. All life is interconnected, and just as they connect with the forest, we can connect with them through presence and reverence. 🧡
Seeing them felt like stepping through a portal into childlike wonder and magic. Amanita muscaria is considered psychoactive, just like cacao. Even simply being in their presence feels like ceremony — a reminder that magic is everywhere. 🌿🍄
I came back today to share cacao with them ☕ — for me the real medicine is in play, curiosity, and wonder. 🧡
